The French Institute's journey through cinema history, launched in January, continues in February. This time, the focus is on the 1960s, with three iconic films: Cats (4 February), Underworld Melody (6 February) and The Black Tulip (11 February). The screenings are also a tribute to Alain Delon, who died in August 2024, and who won over generations with his charismatic presence and unforgettable performances. The cinematic journey will end in Paris with one of the gems of the new wave: Cléo 5 to 7, to be screened on Thursday 13 February.
This month, you can also immerse yourself in French cinema from home: MyFrenchFilmFestival, a selection of French-language films online on Cinego, runs until 17 February. This year's programme includes 7 feature films and 10 short films.
Tickets for the screenings cost 1500 HUF, while online access to the MyFrenchFilmFestival selection costs 2500 HUF.
